Officially Spring

It is officially spring and we have fresh snow.  Hmmmm…  I know it is pretty typical of here but I’m ready for some warmer weather.

I have some veggie starts going.  My tomatoes and cucumbers are in.  Parsley, basil, and cilantro are going in pots inside.  My garlic and chives are poking up out of the ground.  I even have poppies starting to come up.  This week I’m going to try to get another couple of raised beds built this weekend and I need to get a new bed built and de-sodded for flowers.  I’m getting a perennial garden collection and I’m getting a collection of climbing roses.  I can’t wait to see how it all works out.

I think I’ll try to get some pictures here soon.  I like to do a spring picture before things are in and then another one late in the summer with everything all filled in.

About littlehawkyarns

I'm a gardener that is trying to provide good food for my family to enjoy. I have two children, two dogs, a husband, four chickens, and four cats. In addition gardening I enjoy handwork such as knitting, crochet, and sewing. I'm in the process of trying to learn tatting and embroidery as well. I am soon adding more critters to the collection since we just got property and I spin yarn.
